my brother in law told me dat kid frost came 2 Frisco when La Raza around 90 or 91 came out 2 do a show at da cow palace N he told me dat foo'z were throwing red ragz in his face den a couple of homiez rushed da stage N asked him if he banged N den apprently said loudly on da mic dat he didnt bang n dat he loves the North

Yea, Frost started with that whole Uncle Jams Army/Arabrian Prince/Egyptian Lover crew as an MC and DJ, far from being a gangbanger.
