What's wrong with calling people Saints? That term is not just given to anybody. Do you know who the 1st pope was? Saint Peter & there's nothing wrong with paying homage to someone like that, but me personally I'm not real religious like some people. I do think some Catholics do pay way too much homage to someone who is not God, but that does not mean they worship them like those people in the bible who worshipped a golden cow. There's a difference between praying to the virgin to pray for us & praying to the virgin like she actually is God.

callin someone a saint simply because some other human being calls them a saint is ridiculous. when a pope dies the next pope is voted in. its not the work of god, its not a miracle. so why should he be treated as such? when god comes down and says pay homage to the pope, ill do it. its no different than the mormons who think god came to the U.S. and that utah is holy land. until god says it, i think its crap
and god didnt write the bible, the torah or the koran. humans did.
religions have always been set up to have control over the masses. the leaders of the religions tell people "god dsays this, or that" and nobody ever asks how, or when or why, they just obey, but they obey other humans, they never heard it from god

You can believe what you want, but miracles do happen & I'm not talking about the pope being voted in. I've experienced miracles & so have other people, but of course not everyone is going believe. You probably know how God speaks thru us & some of us don't want to listen, or don't know how to. The Catholic church always had a pope & continues to do so by voting 1 in just like how we vote for the president. Catholics don't have to pay homage to the pope as much as some do, but it's good to hope that he is a good pope like we hope our president is good.
