Sometimes yeah. I wish they wouldn't have devoted so much substantial time to Charlie Sheen making an ass out of himself or that they hadn't reported about some attention whore pastor trying to start something by burning a book.

I agree. It's crazy that the guy running Afghanistan, as well as religious leaders in the middle east are asking for our president to "bring him to justice" (the pastor). So we have intolerant religious nuts trying to start shit with other intolerant religious nuts half the world away.

But really though, this guy must really be ignorant because doing something like this obviously just incites violence and fuels further anti-American/Christian sentiment.

Worse, this act might bring about further restrictions on freedom of speech by incorporating criticisms of religion as part of hate crime laws.

I hear you. The problem is, with news, people still get tired of it, and regardless of the importance, want something new. And for the media outlets to stay in business, and keep their advertisers, they feel they have to put out whatevers "hot."
