SO AFTER POLICE USED DEADLY FORCE ON AN ARMED SUSPECT NONE OF THE POLICE LOOKED FOR THE FIREARM??? I'M NOT SAYING IT DIDN'T HAPPEN BUT WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE PRIORITIES??? IT ONLY TAKES 1 COP TO CALL FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION THE REST SHOULD HAVE BEN TRYING TO RECOVER THE GUN...

Yea, they fucked up there. They were still drawn on him while he was leaking, so they probably assumed he still had it on him until they finally turned him over. They needed to secure the entire area...waaaaaay too many people standing too close to the scene, though. Everybody flocked as soon as it happened.

kinda hard to search for the gun when you got 40 other people yelling and surrounding you
I FEEL YOU ON THAT BUT I WOULD THINK THAT THE #1 RULE IN SECURING A CRIME SCENE WOULD BE TO RECOVER THE FIREARM... IT WAS LIKE THEY WAS HOPING HE WAS STILL ARMED SO THEY COULD GO ALL FIRING SQUAD ON DUDE... IF HE SHOT AT THE POPO HE GOT WHAT WAS COMING BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT LOOKED LIKE THE POLICE WERE NOT GOING BY STANDARD PROCEDURE...

man the dude was clapped in his neck and his back. he was leakin like a muthafucka... that shit wasnt no gun

they said the same shit about my cousin. he got shot by OPD - luckily he survived tho
That is a gun on the ground...no question about it. Had the gun been tucked, it wouldn't have been where it was. Since it's that far from where he fell, one could accurately assume the gun was in his hand when he was shot.

And this wasn't in Oakland, this is not the same cop who shot your cousin...so he should not be treated as if he's the same dude. It's not the same situation, and not the same circumstances.

I'M WONDERING DID THE GUN FALL IN FRONT OF HIM OR BEHIND HIM??? EITHER WAY IT WAS A GOOD 30 FEET AWAY... IF IT FELL BEHIND HIM AS HE WAS BUSTIN OVER HIS SHOULDER THE POLICE COULDN'T HAVE ALL RAN PAST THE GUN...

yes it is. police are the same. oakland aint that damn far away from frisco. same soup, its just re heated.
Ok, so then everybody from the hood is the same. And because folks in the hood often carry handguns, BART police had every reason to believe Oscar Grant was armed. Do you see how that mentality is completely fucked up?

It's that mentality that people HATE in police who misuse their power...but it's the same mentality you're displaying towards police. Double standard there, breh.

EXACTLY! I'm not a cop hater, but I'm not a cop sympathizer. I believe everybody should be treated in accordance with their actions.

I've had 8 officers pointing guns at me at the same time for something I did not do. Did I stand up with an attitude after they realized they got the wrong people? No...because that would have just caused more problems. They apologized, helped me dust off my clothes, and went about their night.

If this dude had no reason to run, why did he run? People actually believe this dude took off because he did not want a citation for not paying muni fare? C'mon now. The dude was wanted and had a pistol on him.
