So that's the American spirit...if you have a problem, run away from it? No wonder there are so many kids without parents. America is my home, and I love it...but the current government is doing things with this country I have a real problem with. So my duty to my country isn't to shut up or leave...its to speak out against the wrongdoings that are starting to overshadow all the great things about this nation.

some of the most passionate people will be so hard up on something but still post it over and over again in this forum. the impact of what is said repeatedly gets lost due to its monotony. go and actually do something about it, then you will have more of a right to bitch about it

Ok, slow down comrade. First off, I have ‘resurrected like jesus' because I was temporarily banned; I was dead, only to resurrect and piss off Christians once again. The guy in my sig a radio host at an Atheist website.
Second, you can be atheist and believe in Jesus. Personally, I know many. Some believe a man named jesus existed, possibly a madman, but of course was nothing that the bible made him out to be. For myself, I have not seen any evidence that confirms his existence.
Moving on.
Posting on this board, or in your words, “Bitching”, is actually doing something, as little as it may seem. A lot of us come here to learn and communicate with others. I know for a fact that I have opened some eyes on certain subjects and many have done the same to me. This knowledge can then spread to others whether it’s on the net, in person, at school, at work, with friends etc. etc. etc. The Internet is a great tool in spreading a message to others.
Next, you don’t know what everyone on this board does. To say we aren’t doing anything is pretty bold, considering all you know about most of us is that we post here on the sicc. You don’t know what other boards we post on, what organizations some of us are associated with, if we have our own websites, if we are involved with a political party, etc. etc. etc. You don’t know any of that.
Finally, this is America…the country that has that little thing called ‘Freedom of Speech.’ Everyone who lives here has the right to voice his or her opinion, no matter if it is the popular opinion or not. It doesn’t matter if it’s a government official at a political rally, or Joe Nobody in Tennessee working at a shoe factory. We all have the right to say what’s on our mind, anywhere, anytime and anyway we see fit.

there is an obvious diffrence between "opening eyes" and outright talking shit and spreading hate. I guess saying fuck islam/christianity is productive communication. Scince it seems to be all the rage to be an extremeist anything now a dayz. U totally lost touch on what my post was directed towards, yes, the net is a great tool. The information highway right?? But when someone talks about some of the same shit over and over again the crowd will thin out and you end up doing more damage then good. when a post diverts its M.O. and starts saying anybody should be hurt or killed then your no better then the people or government your against. Actions talk louder then any words that are posted on the net or otherwise.

I dont see anybody saying anything about any organization they're affiliated with or what they have actually done today to help what they believe in besides post up on the siccness.
