I am trying to buy a house before the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers ends. I already pay more in rent than I would for a mortgage but with insurance, property tax and all that it will probably be a little more. I am spoiled now though I live in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment that probably isn't much smaller than a house. I don't know how I could ever go back to something like my first apartment, I could fit my bed, a small computer desk and a dresser other than that it had a tiny little kitchen and a small bathroom.

yea, yea YEAHHH. like i totally thought this thread was gonna be about an empty apartment with one light bulb hanging from the cord from the ceiling, dont turn it on, cuz its a faulty switch.

and then the only thing in the apartment would be a Obama Chia-pet, cuz that is what feels like when you are living under the Obama adminstration.

What's the housing market look like? Isn't there still a good risk that you may buy a house then it's worth less money in a year or two? Or have the prices hit bottom yet?
