Got a link from a friend that an old friend & team mate from HS Alonzo Grey was shot and killed SUnday AM in Portland. It looks like also shot was Maniac Lok but he was taken to the hospital. Here is the link:

I'm sure more on this will surface soon. My prayers are w/ Alonzo's family & friends. Also for Maniac's full & speedy recovery. This is sad news for all, including the young man taken into custody.

All the yuppies invadin the hood within the last couple years are trippin since it was a quite summer. Talkin on the news like shit aint never happend. "Trendy neighborhood awakes to gunfire and police sirens" fuck them, they didn't care when it was baseheads and rundown buildings.

Niggas would get smoked and it wouldn't even make the news.. Now once the yuppies come they wanna pay attention..



Hopefuly this don't turn into more violence..

Real talk!!! Yuppies have been buying everything out over there this last decade. It's nothing new, been going on for years.......

Question I have about the yuppies:

You guys are saying a lot of the same things I've heard in other parts of the country where gentrification takes place. What I don't understand is why you guys don't just burlgarize the shit out of them, make life as unpleasant as possible for them, and won't they leave? Seems like the people who have been in the neighborhood a long time have atleast some control over the situation.

because this aint grand theft auto...

prople do try, then they go to jail, then a few more people try, then they go to jail...

then eventually you get the picture that if you put your hand on a hot stove, you get burned...


the police work very close with the "invaders" too keep them safe and have non emergency lines to report ANYTHING they see, from littering to dope dealing and anything in between. then they can keep building the nit picky shit up against us and eventually get us put out of our houses.. believe me, they tryed to do it to us, and HAVE done it to others in my hood.. ive been goin thru/seein it for the past 7 years at least.

And there is huge financial interest of the property value going up to keep the yuppies buying houses. As Nonstop said, they aren't going to let the quality of living be effected like that, as there are a lot of people making money off of the yuppies moving into these neighborhoods and making them upscale. Nonstop can give you a good description on what N. Mississippi used to look like 10 years ago, and what it looks like now with all of the new businesses open. There is whole lot of money being dumped into these parts of town, and a whole lot of developers and politicians that are making money off it as well.

its called urban cleansing people....been goin on...everybody i know..either their grandparents or parets took the money and got moved out to gresham....real residents that know about this habitat have watched it all unfold...alberta..fremont..mississippi...were all urban areas...now..u can catch tonya harding roller blading at night!!
i hope my nigga maniak pull thru..my prayers to him and his family...portland is too muthafuckin small for all this shit!!!!
