it's getting panned by a fair few critics
I liked it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's also certified fresh with an 80% critics score, so most of them liked it.

Seems like the only people that didn't like it are all of the incels that tried to troll user review sites yesterday with their weirdo coordinated attack cause "derp I'm scurred of women"

I think that was part of the complaints but also the story and Brie wasn't charismatic like the jewess in WW, that was actually pretty good. I'm not into capeshit aside from Ironman, I fucking love ironman

They deleted 54,000 reviews and it stayed the same score 😂

if they want to make a strong female lead then go for it, why not.

But the female lead should be promoting the movie, not marxist gender quotas. If there are only a certain % of women in one sector, it's not due to sexism, it's because women do other work. You don't fix perceived discrimination with actual discrimination and force x amount of men to miss out on jobs so you can virtue signal.

This is a character that has existed in comic books since 1968 and has been an Avenger since 1978 as Ms. Marvel. The movie has been on Marvel Studios phase planning roster for like 6 years. This wasn't a random attempt to fill a gender quota. I feel you if we were talking about that shitty Ghostbusters movie from a couple years ago or the dumbass Oceans 8 movie from last year. Those movies sole purpose was filling gender quotas and that shit was almost embarrassingly obvious about it. This one wasn't though.

We're at a point now where -any- time there is a female lead, no matter what, people are rage and say it was only made for "gender quotas".

They put a black guy in Star Wars

Neckbeards: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

They made the next Jedi a female

Neckbeards: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Wonder Woman becomes a massive success

Neckbeards: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Black Panther becomes a massive success

Neckbeards: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Captain Marvel is the strongest Avenger

Neckbeards: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Every 6 months it's a repeating cycle. If the lead to a massive movie isn't a white male all we hear for the first couple weeks is "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Why are people so insecure about movie characters?

I should have clarified the context. Brie was complaining that old white men make up the majority of movie critics.

Star wars was trash, the movie sucked I walked out middle of the movie.

Wonder woman was great! Gal did a good job and everything from the cinematography to the casting was superb.

Black panther was ok but overhyped cause muh all black cast

That just proved my point.

You ever thought that maybe people other than you legitimately enjoyed it? What else was it supposed to be other than an all black cast? It's set in Africa and the characters in the comics are black lol

"muh all black cast" for real though? I can get if you didn't enjoy it, but to insinuate that others only enjoyed it cause of that? Shit is exactly what I'm talking about lol

One of my friends had a birthday party yesterday at a casino and I had no idea, I don't fucking use Facebook and never will and I don't remember peoples birthdays either. I'm sure he'll be lightweight butthurt about it lol... could have just sent out a mass group text a week or two in advance and not fucking 7pm when half of everyone is already there. Oh well
