This cab driver was looking for this specific address and i told him like 9 times in a row it was up these stairs in this back area and can't be reached by car he has to call or knock. He kept saying "no no it must be on back at these other buildings"
"no its right here up these stairs you have to call or knock"
"no no it's these other buildings but no one come outside "
" That address is right here up these stairs you can't reach it by the back you have to call or knock"

9 times. Finally i was just like "Oh. Yeah it's back at those other buildings, good luck."
Ten mins later "my cab driver said he can't find my address have you seen him?"

I try to show cab drivers love i know how brutal that job is... I'm always hooking them up with airport runs and stuff like that and referring ppl who don't mind cabs to the Hyatt where theres always cab drivers camped out in a line. Always drop a little etiquette too if the resident is more down to earth "You want to grab the cab that's first in line, otherwise you might start some drama between those guys if the queue gets disrupted"
Uber has pretty much destroyed cabs though pretty much everyone is using uber, which is fucked cause those cab companies have like half a million dollars in fees and miles and miles of red tape and years of dealing with "the Seattle process" and shit just to operate and any asshole can sign up as an uber driver

My friend drove for Uber for awhile seeing he's a musician and it freed up his time to practice when his band could all get together and shit. He liked it and made pretty decent money.

Oddly enough he's the only person I've ever used that type of service with too and it was when we were coming back from a concert last year. It was from Showbox Market to my place on a Saturday night at 11pm and it only came to like $6 and change including the factored in driver's tip or whatever. That would have probably been $15 in a cab because we sat there for a minute getting off Pike. Fuck cabs lol
