That shit been around since at least the 80s. I knew some Bloods up here that were originally from Crenshaw and they called it Bompton whenever they talked about Compton. Oddly enough hey never called Crenshaw, Brenshaw or anything like that though lol This was in around 98 or so.

Musically I know it's said on the Bangin' on Wax cd and that's from like 92 or 93.
