SAN JOSE -- An East San Jose restaurant had its liquor license suspended for 30 days after a state investigation found it was allowing employees to perform lewd acts on customers, and letting minors drink alcohol, according to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Bboss Restaurant, at 385 North Capitol Ave. near McKee Road, will also be placed on probation for an additional 15 days.

The ABC said the restaurant was found to be breaking the law on occasions between January and April. In addition to the lewd acts and underage drinking, the owner was allowing people to drink at hours in violation of the restaurant's conditional agreement. The ABC report also states Bboss violated noise limits, and stored open bottles of liquor for certain customers.

The violations were discovered by undercover ABC agents and local law enforcement officers who visited Bboss multiple times over the four-month period.

On March 28, the license of Sapphire Restaurant at 1710 Berryessa Road -- about two miles away -- was suspended for 20 days after it was found to have live entertainment that was not permitted and was violating noise levels and serving alcohol after allowed hours.

In that case, agents visited the establishment for three months ending in February, according to the ABC.
