Was it the Delimex ones? They are kinda like that but I like them a lot. Only frozen pork taquitos on the market that I know of.

For a dipping sauce for the taquitos I mix 2/3rds Stephen's Fry Sauce with 1/3rds Tapatio. Makes a good kinda creamy but spicy little sauce for them.

How'd you make them? I've only ever done them in the oven and they came out kinda like what you said but I liked them. Like they get kinda chewy towards the middle when they get really full of pork.
