I called into work sick these past two days (for worthy reasons) but I've only had this job for 4 weeks. Fully knowing that I'm disposable I walk into the office today having anxiety thinking about they might can me on the spot. Like a real fucked up feeling in the gut of my stomach and sure enough half an hour into my shift I get called into my boss's office like yup I knew it....

To my surprise, she asks me if i could start cross-training for a promotional position cause another employee is gonna be leaving to start up his own IT business. What the fuck I feel so blessed! Things feel hella surreal.
