It's awaiting a greenlight and a rewrite. Alex Winter(Bill S. Preston, Esq.) is really busy with his production, writing, and directing duties in Hollywood, so there's a bit of fit and polish left before it gets made.

Thankfully, both he and Reeves are both thumbs up to making the new movie.
