$334 already on the page plus $25 that infinity @infinity sent that I just have to get from Western Union means we are over the $350 mark for SoCo with 29 days remaining.

I know a few more people are sending checks/money orders in and others plan on donating before it's over so when we hit $400 do you think I should bump it up to $450 or just go big and do $500? I think it's doable but I don't wanna fall short of whatever the last goal may be.

I was just wondering if you considered giving the cash directly to his family to cover funeral costs? They're expensive these days and I don't know what his family's income is like.
He was cremated breh. But yes it was something we considered and S.SAVAGE @S.SAVAGE reached out to his brother and he said the Marfan Foundation donation sounded perfect and that was something Chris really would have liked.

I'm planning on throwing some money in the next couple weeks. I'm not a huge fan of donations to foundations as I feel in general tons of money gets soaked into running costs and salaries and not actual research or helping people, but that's a whole nother conversation. If that's what his brother wanted that sounds awesome.

I'm the same way but before throwing it out there as a place to make a group donation to I did some research and the main watchdog group of charities gave it a 66.52 out of 70 so it seems like a pretty good one with 77.5% of the charity’s budget spent on the programs and services it exists to deliver.
