You know life would be way chiller if I continued the PhD route. The program I'm in is a class that is ranked, with stress of board exams - and placement upon graduating. Its been a whirlwind.

I have done some really cool stuff though. I have a cadaver that is assigned to me and a partner, and we have started superficially, and have made it through all the layers, and cavities. What that have to do with feet? nothing lol

If I survive these next 2 years i'll be cruising.

I might pass out if I had to cut open a dead body and examine its insides. I've been working on getting into the radiology program at foothill and its been stressful but what you're doing sounds really difficult and stressful.

Depends on the person. I'm not easily grossed out. Last week we had to point out all the features of the intestines, and some people were grossed out. I was like whatever, digging my hand in.

Its sort of crazy when you see that muscle fiber, is muscle fiber - and looks very similar to what you grill (no brotha-lynch). In radiology your going to have to be very strong in gross anatomy, and bone locations.

I don't know how strong your app/resume is but sonography is the way to go. My brothers friend just graduated at foothill, and making like 75k at Stanford. Thats for a 2 year degree, and little debt. I'm about to be swimming in a pool of negative numbers.

When my ex was in dental school (which at tufts atleast does gross anatomy with the med students so they get cadavers) she kept begging her instructors to let me cut up the brain, I was a PhC at the time doing neuro stuff and they wouldnt let me. Its a damn shame too because they never actually did anything with the brains except expose them.

I'm a fucking Dr. and I've never seen a human brain that hasnt been fixed. :(

We get to do the head next semester... taking the bag off the head is going to be a trip.

You would think it would make sense for people in the phd sciences studying a brain, to actually poke around in it. I find when I study sometimes it seems like a lot of words, then I go poke around in my cadaver and stuff makes more sense in a 3D spacial awareness way. It would be the same for any neuro student.
