Same reason he tried to snatch 40s chain, jealousy. I'm not saying he actually pulled the trigger but I'll just say that word from a pretty reliable source that Dre's own crew think he was deeply involved with his death. Tone got killed because it would make it look like the problem solved itself seeing a lot of folks thought he had something to do with it... also because he supposedly knew too much as well.
