Damn just found out this happened to a guy I used to party a lot with in high school and shortly after..

Two Mountlake Terrace men have been charged with first-degree assault after a fight outside of O’Houlies Pub, 21919-66th Ave. W., early Thursday morning. The altercation left an Edmonds man, Chris Patterson, clinging to life with severe head trauma and multiple face and skull fractures, according to police records.

As of Friday evening, Patterson, 32, was listed in serious condition in the intensive care unit of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Jesse Bratsch, 22, and Bryan Scott, 21, were booked into Snohomish County jail in Everett on the assault charges. Scott had to receive medical attention at Swedish Edmonds Hospital from an apparent stab wound in the chest before being transported to Everett. Police describe Bratsch as having superficial bruises, which they suspect he sustained from the incident.

The brother of Chris Patterson, 29-year-old Mark Patterson, was also believed to be injured in the altercation, sustaining broken ribs and “other superficial injuries,” according to police records.

A fifth man, Joshua Kowalczewski, was also treated at Swedish-Edmonds, then Harborview, for a stab wound in the arm.

Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds police responded to O’Houlies at 1:41 a.m. Thursday morning and upon arrival found a male lying on the ground bleeding from the head or face. He appeared to be semi-conscious and was having difficulty breathing, according to police records.

With the assistance of surveillance footage from the bar, officers were able to piece together events that led to a fight involving all five men. Police believe the fight broke out after one of the suspects “made out” with an unidentified woman who had come to the bar with the Patterson brothers.

Additional charges may be filed as a result of the incident, said Mountlake Terrace Police Department Commander Doug Hansen.

This happened back at the start of Oct and he still isn't able to talk, eat, or breathe on his own.

I really have no clue what all went down except for what some girl I'm friend's with from back then too posted on FB and I don't wish that to happen to anyone but growing up both Chris and his little brother Mark were always two little hot-headed dudes fighting everyone and it seems that never changed. That's not a good sign to still be in that state 3 months later though, at all and a picture of dude someone posted on his page (I'm not friends with him on there) makes him look in a vegetative state in my opinion.

Dang that sucks

My really good friend since birth, who's family is been friends with my family since the 50's, got beat to death next door to my saturday morning breakfast spot last year.

Thing is, my boy was the best fighter i ever knew, various black belts in several martial arts, virtually a badass.

His brothers & sisters hated him so much ( black sheep ) they didnt even come back to Cali for a funeral or nothing, they told the city to dispose of his ashes.

Had I known those pieces of shit would have done that, I'd of paid for a proper burial my damn self.

Well, I wouldn't have ever considered either of them to be friends really. Just guys I went to school with and partied a lot with back in the day and that's about it. Never really kicked it with them outside of parties or chilling at school. Thanks though and I feel the worst that Chris has a 13yr old daughter and still getting into shit like this and that's just fucking stupid.

Damn that's awful, sorry to hear that Shea. And yeah like I said not really my people so to say, just some guys I partied a lot with in high school and shortly after but I hope dude pulls through too.

I wonder what the real story is to what happened because on his Facebook page his baby's mama was saying that the article I listed made it sound like they were stabbing the dudes and got fucked up when they were actually defending themselves.. but of course she is going to say that so who knows.

Maybe they were stabbing people, to defend themselves?

Not unheard of.

....ummmm, not that I have done it in the past or anything like that of the sort.
