Child "fighting" spanking?

My 7 year old son has recently started doing this when he needs a spanking...saying stuff like "you can't hit me!" or just "Don't hit me!" and it takes forever to get him to a point of "accepting" that he is going to be spanked....sometimes so much that I just give up, and make him stay in his room or something....I just feel like by fighting him on it, I am just making things worse....
When he was littler, he would cry but pretty much "accept" what his punishment was...this is just in the last 3 months or so...
Any thoughts? What would you do?

lol I've told this on here before. When I was teenager me and some friends were chilling in front of a 7/11 waiting for a few other friends when these two Mormon kids on their mission walk up in the full attire. This one girl I was with starts asking them questions "Why are you dressed like that, what's a mission..." and so on. They are happily answering her questions like she is really interested and out of nowhere she goes "Oh, you want to fuck or something?" and these dudes did not know what to say. They were all like "Ummm, ahhh... we got to go." and took off down the street. It was pretty hilarious.

I basically took 4 main versions of the track and choose the order to place the verses & then blended them seamlessly together to make one long mix.

I could make it even longer by adding The Team (they are on the OG track anyway), Bow Wow (fuck bow wow, he did a bootleg remix that is all over the place structure-wise), PSD Tha Drivah (he only spits like 12 bars so it fucks up the flow of the mix), and HBK Gang (IamSu's group).
