I got a 2011 Macbook with 8Gb Ram, and i5 chip for $600 on CL.

I took out the cd drive, and added a second 750gb drive... shit is pimp. I'm hella glad I switched from PC.

lol I ment I got, as in bought! I ain't getting rid of this beast. I was surprised he sold it for 6 bills, they easily go for 800 - 900. Only real difference between this model and the new ones is the retina display...

If you get a macbook pro, make sure and spend the little extra for the i5 or i7 chipset... core 2 duo is outdated, and these chips smoke them in processing and speed.
