I used to hate black olives until about a year ago, then I started to love them in omelettes, on subs, and on pizza. Must have went through that taste bud shift people supposedly go through every 8-10 years.

I should love olives in theory because I like salty stuff but something about them just ain't right. Mushrooms is more a texture things they generally taste like whatever you cook them with. Well, like your stereotypical mushrooms do at least.

Actually I guess in salsa/pico they are raw and I love both of those. Also like them chopped up on authentic tacos now that I think about it. Hmmm maybe I should give them another go round on a sandwich one of these days.
