The base Diablo3 is worth playing by itself if you like these types of games and are a fan of Blizzard. But what we're doing is Seasonal characters which is a little different; it's the "end game" / NewGame+ for Diablo3 or whatever you want to call it. It's basically the same really simple repetitive game, you do the same stuff over and over; and over
and over and over. You basically get to level 70 then get good enough gear to fight harder stuff to get even better gear to fight harder stuff to get the most optimal gear to fight the hardest stuff you possibly can, where even microseconds matter and you have to have optimal conditions and you might barely pass the rift by about 30 seconds to spare. It's a game completely built on that power creep addiction mechanism and also a random number generation system for all item drops, which is like gambling. So it's basically the most addictive thing about MMORPG's, coupled with actual addictive gambling, coupled with competing amongst the most dedicated and addicted people worldwide. A season only lasts 3-5 months; this one just started 2 weeks ago. It's an infinite challenge; everything scales up and it just keeps going as far as you are willing to go until you die in real life because you've been awake for 48 hours and haven't eaten or drank anything and you've been sitting still that entire time and your eyes are bleeding because you don't remember the last time you blinked, and you go to stand up to get some water and have a stroke from some kind of crazy blood clot / embolism.
Stay away from D3
