I do have to say that if someone really understands the Bible and lives their lives according to the commands and tenets of what Jesus taught, they we be among the most upstanding people in society. Your religous beliefs should have absolutely fucking nothing to do with law. Otherwise, the dudes fucking 10 year olds have just as much of a justification for being pedofiles as you do for banning gay marriage. I'm not trying to debate religion with you here, im just saying that religion has no bearing on peoples rights, so if youre argument against polygamy is 'the bible says 1 man 1 woman' it doesnt fucking matter.

How do you know that they are misinterpretations though? Just to keep it simple and not to get into the other Abrahamic religions while you think other denominations of Christianity are misinterpreting scripture they think yours is as well. And I'm not talking about the extremes like these jackasses in Utah, just in general. This goes for every other religion too not just Christianity though of course. Every single denomination of every religion thinks theirs is obviously the "right one" and all the others are wrong.



And they all twist their interoperations to meet their own agenda. That is just human nature and kind of the point of why there are so many different denominations in every religion no? If not they wouldn't exist.
