They didn't, he got offered more money by the 9er's than the Raiders. He decided he'd rather take a one year prove it deal than getting what he felt was short changed by the 9ers on a multiyear.

Because he can't make YAC.

Crabtree is great because of his hands, not his YAC. Look at the routes he runs. Most of his catches are sideline or deep balls.

If the 9ers lowballed him because of YAC that's one of the reasons their franchise is falling apart lol

Dude is on pace for 95 catches and 1200 yards this year without good YAC.
