I honestly really only know an overview of what happened but it's their site they can do what they like with it. Free speech doesn't mean you can say whatever you like without repercussions especially on something that is privately owned.
It somewhat reminds me of the guy who asked me if it was okay to bring his concealed weapon into the theatre that he had a permit for. When I told him no it wasn't and that he'd have to go leave it in his car or something he went into a tirade about his 2nd amendment right to bear arms and that he had a permit and yada yada. I listened to him, pointed to the sign that said "no weapons" and said this is private property that trumps those rights so it doesn't matter (in a nicer way though) and he actually was dumbfounded. Like it had never occurred to him that it works that way. I could see the one brain cell he had bouncing around in his head trying to think of something else to say but then he just walked away mumbling to himself. I'm pretty sure I posted about it in here.

But yeah people are free to say whatever they like. That doesn't mean others have to put up with it (free speech doesn't mean freedom from criticism), can't chastise you for it, and if it's on/in something/somewhere that is privately owned they can't do whatever the fuck they like (for the most part). That said just like on here I'm not for banning or censoring people personally unless it goes into illegal territory of course or something that can get sites shut down. But, unlike a lot of people it seems, I still recognize the differences and that sites like here or Reddit are free to do as they see fit. Don't like it... well then leave.
