i like wrath of khan. that star trek movie where they goes back in time (to 1980's..) to save some whales is one of the worst movies i've ever seen. also star trek tv-show and next generation is weak af. i liked deep space 9, but felt it was too much like babylon 5 clone

Hell yeah Daughters ruled. They always reminded me of a kinda mathy-grind version of Arab on Radar who are also from Providence so they were more than likely influenced by them.

Providence tends to have really great noise rock bands for some reason, Lightning Bolt is from there too. Fort Thunder probably played a big part in that.
