I bought the cheapest laptop they had at Walmart, and when it breaks I'll go back to Walmart and by the cheapest one they have.
word, cheap laptops are great for everyday computing

my daughter has the cheapest Gateway from 2 years ago and it still runs great and her mom has the cheapest Toshiba from a year ago and it still runs great.

I think both their laptops were only like $250 at the time.

$910 dope AMD build all from Amazon Prime

Man fuck AMD

The last computer I built in 2004 was an amd 2600+ with a radeon 9600xt. I thought, "fuck getting an intel, fuck the 9800 pro, this is tremendous bang for the buck and will last years" which was a very popular consensus among gamers at the time. In fact, there were far more amd fanboys than intel. What happens? Obsolete in two years. Meanwhile the comparable intep chips kept going on, the 9800pro remained relevant for years. I couldn't even run counter strike source on that piece of shit 9600xt and cpu lol i was maxed out on a game that came out the same fucking year lol, it was obsolete then.

Also, directx12 isn't too far away, it'll utilize four cores max. Those 6 and 8 core amds will be left in the dust compared to an intel with no bottleneck

According to the report, the demo manages those impressive results on DirectX 12 because the API eliminates the CPU bottleneck by scaling very well with all available CPU cores, something which most APIs have been struggling to do on PC for years. As a result, the load is balanced across all CPU cores, increasing the performance and utilising up to four cores.

DirectX 12 early tests: 400% performance increase on AMD GPUs, 150% on Nvidia | VG247
I've been reading great things about this AMD FX 6300 chip I'm looking at. All reviews are saying it's great for gaming.

Here it is stacked against an i7 with the same mid tier graphics card on Battlefield 4. The i7 is overclocked and the AMD is stock and the AMD goes neck and neck with it.

Well if I was going with amd I'd get the fx9550 I think it was, then overclock it to 5.13ghz lol. Main reason I'm not is the theoretical amd build waa pulling like 800watts breh lol. This build will be hooked to my plasma tv lmao which is already like 400watts I think

You might regret only getting a 120GB SSD, Windows 8.1 is gonna steal 30GB's off top and you're not gonna want to get lower than 15-20GB of free space so you'll only have like 70GB to fuck with, that's like 3 games lol

I'd grab either a 256GB SSD or a data drive to put behind the 120GB SSD
TBH there is not much need for an SSD, just stick with a 1TB Western Digital Velociraptor at 10,000 RPM. It's good enough and for gaming the CPU and Graphics card are the main bottlenecks so those to are more important.

Not a lot of games make use of multi cores and are optimized for single cores, sadly though.

Might go AMD instead of Intel to save some money. 6 core AMD FX Black Edition processors going for $99 on Amazon right now.

Amazon.com: AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition: Computers & Accessories
I will never build an AMD I'd rather pay the money.
