Man dangles above I-5 in Seattle after police chase

A man dangled about 30 feet above I-5 at the end of a police foot chase through Capitol Hill Thursday afternoon, according to witnesses who documented the end of the chase.
“You’re used to people doing that in movies, but not in real life,” said Matt Emmett, a construction worker who was near the REI store on Eastlake Avenue East when he saw what was happening.
Police officers eventually helped the man climb back up the ledge to be taken into custody.
Seattle Police Department spokesman Jeff Kappel said the man was wanted for a misdemeanor warrant, but did not say what the warrant was for or what led officers to initiate the chase.
