Conference doesnt pay, but between the department and the grants our lab has, I've never had to pay to go to a conference I've presented at.

Same here I use my grants as a free vacation. Last one lasted 5 days, and I only went there for 2.5 days, rest of the time I was just rollen around the city bullshitten.

I'll be at SACNAS conference, hosted in Seattle this October. Turned in my abstract. I think I may just go the day I present. Rest of the time, I'm fucken going on some journey.
