its a SATA but my comp powered up had the fan running its getting close to finally getting on this has happened several times due to a power outage and it being an old piece of shit but takes a while and some luck took out the 2nd HD so it doesn't use as much power

Sounds like a power surge. You need to disconnect the defilibrator and attach the USB outlet to the flux capacitor and then restart the modem. If you have done this correctly you will be in 1985.
