I was at 6-7 days a week, spending around $300/week. So I intervened on myself because that shit was too crazy. There's about a 3-4 month period I was barely posting on the Siccness; that was when I was out every night and sleeping all the time, barely functioning. So I did a 30 day sobriety dry-out and hardly ever go to the bars/clubs anymore.
Yeah I can't do that. I'm one of those drinkers that are rarely like "fuck, I really need a drink right now" or have that need/want to drink every day but when I do drink, even on a night chilling like this to myself, it's at least a 12 pack.
I got past that spending money like that at bar years ago. Never was a big fan of that scene anyways. When we go to concerts or feel liking hiting some bars these days I always prefunk tough and spend maybe $25 tops at the bar. Fuck all that noise.
Like even then I will literally leave the bar, go grab a few brews at the corner store, drink them in the bar parking lot while the people I'm with smoke outside, then go back in lol.
Yeah it's definitely smarter to pre-game, but I had the money to blow so I wasn't trippin. I met shitloads of cool people too. Done with that scene for a while tho for sure.
It's pretty funny though because I've started off a chain reaction of bar parking lot drinking a few times. Especially when you can see the mini-mart from the bar parking lot.
