Most of the meat you buy in the supermarket is past the expiration date. They just change the label and keep selling it, till it runs away on its own...

lol i dunno how it works other places but it is actually my job to fill cold shit at the supermarket, including ham. none of the labels get changed on the prepackaged meats but i dunno the practices of the deli when you buy it by the slice. but it comes through on the same truck and we get kilos of ham every day.
