You must have forgot to take a stab.

The way I see it is with team sports you almost practice six months together and several years together in highschool. A lot of blood, sweat and tears go into that. You should be boys. If the whole team was there and watched their teammate nearly get beat to death and didn't do shit I see that as pretty cowardly. They had to put the kid on a fuckin ventilator!

Now aparently there are conflicting reports about whether they were there. But this is what today's SF Chronicle said:

According to school and police officials, Bryant was assaulted while standing with other varsity basketball players at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Jesse Bethel High. The players were waiting for practice to begin. The suspects arrived in two vans, and one punched a 16-year-old girl, prompting Lee and his teammates to intervene, Hodge said.
I don't see how thinkin a group of kids that play together on the same team should help each other out makes me an idiot or is a retarded statement. May be a little early to judge anyone involve. Maybe Im wrong for that, but I stand by the statement that if your on a team you shouldnt let one of your teammates almost get beat to death while you're waiting to go to practice. But I don't know maybe we just had different friends growing up...

I deleted my response because I said something I shouldn't have, and don't feel like being drug into something that's honestly none of my business.

I just dont get it though. I mean, if you are a 26 year old man, and you find a justifiable (in your head) reason to need to slap a 17 year old girl, what the hell would make you go onto a school campus to do it? Its asking for trouble.

I think the children of this family have no remorse, show no social conscience. My friends little brother is serving 15 years for that robbery where the one Tili was killed, another is in jail for murder, and now 4 more in jail. Its really sad.

This is a total reversal of cheap heat. The adults attacking a kid are cowards, not the other highschool students.

this kind of shit happens a lot everywhere. i can recall many occasians where kids were mopped so bad they died, had brain damage, 20+ grown ass men jumping out of 3 suvs beating high school kids, fools getting jumped in front of all they boys head busted with crowbars and nobody do shit, robbery, shooting stabbing. etc shit happened all day at berkeley high/surrounding area. i figure it happens at all your schools too. i mean this is the bay vallejo way worse than berkleey imo

I didn't mean to take anything away from the heat the Tili's are getting. Probably would have made more sense if I typed the detailed response rather than the one liner. Just thinking to myself if I was that kid and I was beaten for 12 minutes while my teammates watched (if they did) I'd feel betrayed.

There's no doubt the Tili's are cowards but there's plenty of people already pointing that perspective out.
