One of them men arrested with Simpson in the case, Walter Alexander, said Tuesday that Simpson may have been tricked because another memorabilia dealer who tipped him off also recorded everything on tape.


"It sounds like a setup to me," Alexander told ABC's "Good Morning America." He said Simpson had thought the memorabilia belonged to him after getting a call from the dealer.


"He did believe that he was going to retrieve his own property," Alexander said.


One of the collectors in the room at the time, Bruce Fromong, spoke publicly about the incident on Monday and described Simpson and a group of men coming into the hotel room "commando style."

OJ's lawyers pulled the race card numerous times during his murder trial...I'm sure that's a big part of the reason he got off. Remember when the defense tried to put Mark Fuhrman on trial, and said he helped frame OJ because OJ was black??? Granted, Mark Fuhrman said some dumb shit, but they tried to turn it into this big old racial thing and say OJ was "set-up". How often does ANYBODY have that much evidence against them, and WALK?

Now, it's not often that it works out that way, but sometimes it does. It could be because he was famous...but the racial slurs sure helped acquit dude.
