Need help from you, the outspoken ones.

Makes me wonder... Where ARE the leaders? Since Huey P. Newton and Martin Luther King, who is around to help create necessary change? Rev. Jesse Jackson?
the ones that could be leaders are scared to stand up cause they might/will get shot.so all the so called "black leaders" are scared to speak up.jessie jackson and rev sharpton talking to eachother like "go ahead, you stand up and be the leader,i aint about to get assassinated for these stupid niggas".

I think it's more like, if the so called black leaders really led the blacks in a positive direction, then they would have they funding cut and be broke just like the rest of us... So they have a choice, either be a fake leader with money, or be a real leader preaching on your soapbox in front of the Welfare office...

nope, but i'm interested......
Back in 96, when they had my brother on trial, and he had his little Public Pretender, some crazy shit was coming up. Like the search warrants having the time of 7:00 am but busting into homes at 6:36 am, the judge that signed the five search warrants misspelled his OWN name on two of the five (meaning he didn't sign them at all, and he was on vacation on the date the warrants were signed...) I hired a hand-writing expert, but the "original" search warrants could not be found, and he decided he didn't want to get involved. The "white Cherokee jeep" in the driveway with a spare tire full of 5 kilos of cocaine (but the cops "forgot" to put it in evidence) was written up as being in 2 driveways of two different homes at the same time. All kinds of shit was wrong; the state dropped the case, but the feds picked it up.

Anyway, I got pretty heavy into trying to keep my brother out of prison, and joined a couple of groups that aren't exactly government-friendly. In doing research, we found out that the federal government LEASES the land upon which the federal prisons are built. They profit from EACH prisoner is about $40,000 a year, and that profit is divided among the owners of the corporation that own the land. That corporation includes the names of most the the Supreme Court Justices (the Judges that put people in prison, and decide how long their sentence is) and three of our past presidents, as well as our current president of the United States.

So, my brother was to be sentenced for personal possession of $240 worth of meth, until nine months later, they added "conspiracy" and he got 21 years. I'll be the first to agree that too many black men are in prison over bullshit, yet I know you don't have to be black, you just have to be too broke to buy your way out.
