naw, it was baby, it was about money, baby owes some shit. mannie said he n weezy are cool, they talk and mannie was on stage with weezy at his show not too long ago
It wasn't getting redundant, he just lost it completely. He had a style in the 90s, after around 2002 he has been making run-of-the-mill beats with no identity whatsoever
I don't se how cash money dropped mannie he left because slim and baby are shady ask b.g, turk, juve or any producer, people don't get dropped by cash money people leave cash money, you will see it one day with drake and nicki

as a producer, in mannies defense, i would say its not his fault for the redudancy.
When you make a hit record, rappers want that sound emulated. So when you have all these rappers saying hey i want you to make a beat like that one song you made, OR you give em a beat disc and they pick beats that sound similar, i mean hey what can you do.
Just my two cents.

I understand that, other have made the same point (Lex Luger for example). But the fact is that Mannie Fresh had one of the most unique sounds in all of hip-hop and now he makes generic beats that, if we are to be honest, just plain suck most of the time.
this beat aint too bad, its just the same drum kit he has been using since he was doing work with jeezy and t.i. But if the nigga Plies wanted this type of beat, what is mannie supposed to do, argue with plies and say oh no sir i think you need a beat with more instruments and variation lol Trust me man i've been there before, on the very small local level out here. And I would be vocal and say hey bruh I think you would sound way better on this other beat. That one you picked is way too simple. Rappers want to rap on what they want to rap on.

& fans need to stay in the fans place when it comes to talking about formula that producers use (mannie has a distinct drum kit just like dre, timbo, em, luger, neptunes, drumma and etc). bc these rappers pick the beats they wanna rap on and pay for them.
Also mannie first used that drum kit wit lil wayne - Shine beat. Then the first outside cash money he used it for was Lil Flip then Young Jeezy.
You know very well I didn't listen to the track - I just knew it, I knew it sucked, I copied the link and posted it. The person that failed was the one who mislabeled the track
