you mean individuals or modesto in general? i know years back a couple clubs/ bars wouldnt let you in if your id said stockton..............

not true,well from my point of view its not.i fuck with who ever is cool wit me nomatter where they from.its the fools that come here and acts like MODESTO IS A BUNCH SUCKAS thats gets the business the most.the last THREE times i went to a club/bar i ended up fighting and gettin peper sprayed by security cause of out of town niggaz gettin loud and talkin that disrespectful shit.next time i might not be so lucky and the fool might just pull a strap shoot my ass.
yeah modesto aint got no problem with stockton but when doods from outta town come out here and hit our clubs and try and act all hard talkin bad about modesto tryin to set trip and thangs and this dont only include stockton, oakland doods come out here and do the same thang thinkin we some suckaz. we handle business and aint no punks out here thats why shit ends up krackin off into some funk. real shit aint nobody gettin robbed or beat up out here, maybe certain square ass mothafuckas but most handle whatever is delt. i just dont understand how foos from outta town like oakland and stockton and other cities be running there mouth sayin modesto is hella weak but be out here every weekend tryin to get into something. we aint got no problem with homies from other cities coming out here but just dont come out here expectin to try and run thangs an act like we some punks cuz that aint gonna go down. ive seen the shit turn ugly fast when someone tries to disrespect because we got hella love for where we from and will do what we have to do.
i dunno about all that cuz it still was going down out here in earler 2000's and atleast once or twice a year til this day u can catch mchenry bumper to bumper from j st past briggsmore on both sides of the street, hella bitches showing titties hangin out the window. shit i wouldnt be supprise if this cinco de mayo its not krackin out here because last year the strip was hella deep til like 2 in the morning.. but damn i do miss the 90's tho cuz it was really going down, i have hella memories of mchenry.
I been cruisin McHenry since late 80s, we'd always roll deep out there for many years. Modesto women always showed us love, only 1 time shit got thick but from that time it was back to the same thing. Do they still have taht lil festival in the summertime @ Riverbank. Shit was cool, one of my boys parent house used to be in the heart of that lil festival and we'd just get smashed and pull every nice lookin female that strolled by.
I remember this club called the firehouse. Our spot was this lil hotel run by some arabs forgot the name its probably still there had a tropical theme. Wed just post grab a car load of women and take em to the room haha. Many Many GOODTIMES!!!!

I know this post is old, but I had to post on this. The best spot to eat is Taco's Jessica on Crows Landing road near School Ave (Next to Shell Gas Station). Tacos are $0.50/piece and are bomb. I get full on 6 of them ($3).
La Morenita is garbage and expensive as fuck. Don't waste your money. If you want some real Mexican food go to El Marinero at 1239 Crows Landing Rd or Mariscos Sinaloa at 1312 Crows Landing Rd. Some other good spots are:
Web's Big Ben Burger on 7th Street - Good burgers and fries
Doc's Q'in Pit Stop near the corner of Maze and Martin Luther King - Bomb ass barbeque
Tokyo Teriyaki House at 1769 Crows Landing Rd - Order the Yakitori Chicken.
Chicken Barn in McHenry Village (Corner of McHenry and Briggsmore) - Order BBQ Chicken and Spuds.
The area where there's hella liquor stores in the Southside on Holm/Herndon is Varrio Southside Modesto. It's rough there. And as far as it being funk season in Modesto, it is. The worst spots right now are in the West and the South.
My hood, the OG, and Martin Luther King between California Ave and Maze are the worst right now, in my opinion. There was two drive by's a few minutes apart this last weekend in the OG. There was a shooting in the Varrio 2 days ago, too. Earlier this year there was a shootout that left a women that was laying on the ground injured in the OG. Probably over ten REPORTED shootings in that hood of only 2,000 people so far this year, and most don't go reported in this area.
On Martin Luther King in the last few months there was a stabbing behind Alex & Sons, a double shooting in front of the store (as two people were walking out somebody shot them), a Sureno was shot at another liquor store, a skater with a red shirt was attacked and stabbed at Mellis Park, some gangsters opened fire into a liquor store at the corner of Maze and Martin Luther King, and there were 2 more shootings on Maze Blvd near Martin Luther King. And the shootings already mentioned, an 18 month old on H Street and a 15 year old on Rock Pine.
It's all bad in Modesto right now.
