i fuckin hope not. but I have a friend who plays for the colorado rapids. dude is makin like 12k a year.... thats why players are pissed off.
Damn that's sheisty. MLS needs to make a better "product" to compete in terms of global competition. They've gone a long way, but they need to try and bring in some good players from around the world and not just burnouts who come to the MLS to "retire."

Henry wanted to go to NY last time I heard. That'd be nice, they need to get players like that on every team...

lol if conor casey can score in MLS at his size, Im sure Ronaldo would have no problem at 200+ lbs

new red bull stadium is ill tho...
Yeah that shit is nice.

What teams in the MLS should really do is work on the youth in this country to develop young players. If there were at least a couple teams that extensively developed young players, like the Atlas and Pumas of the Mexican league, I think that would help the league a lot.

they have youth leagues... but yeah, they need to be better. we need to young soccer players who play, to keep playing when they get older. its dumb ass jocks of high school and their coaches who try to get athletes from the soccer field on to the baseball/football/basketball court/field

Hahaha, you're right.

I played High School soccer and we lost a badass goalie to football. Football, Basketball and Baseball are just valued more in our society. Top athletes play those sports and not soccer, it's sad but true.

I don't know shit about the MLS, but I just heard that Beiersdorfer, who worked for Hamburg before, wants to sign Ze Roberto to Red Bull New York for the new season. 3 year contract. EURO 3.6mil/season. And they even offered him a job after he stops playing.
He still has a contract in Hamburg till 2011 though.

Hamburg won. Nistelrooy and Petric scored. Looks good. Even without Jansen and Elia. Just hope Fulham wins against Wolfsburg, cause that would be the easier team to play against in the semi final, but I don't believe it...

As an international team, I could see why people would say they "suck." However, I was speaking of the Mexican league and the way they develop players. Outside of Europe, soccer players get paid best by the Mexican League. That says a lot about where the league is compared to the MLS and other leagues...

LOL@doesn't Mexico suck at soccer??? We'll see.
