Big news that will go unnoticed: FIGC (Italian version of FA) handed out three match ban to moutinho, two match ban for muntari and cambiasso and one match bans for cordoba and Samuel. All for red cards and antcs in the 0-0 with samp over the weekend. Why is this so big? Roma is only 5 points back and inter is now facing a depth problem. The scudettos race is back on... Let's go Roma!!!

Speaking of the 0-0 with samp, eto'o milito and snjieder had to run their legs off getting back to defend. They are going to be tired going into the Chelsea match. whatever chance they had of winning against Chelsea is looking really bleak.

that game was terrible, however you can't write them off, Mourinho knows Chelsea inside out, he knows the players more than anyone.

Stuttgart - Barca 1 - 1

Not bad for Stuttgart. They got my respect. They won't have a chance in the match in Barca though...
Right, they played their heart out. In set pieces they're plenty dangerous though...

You guys notice how much Barca misses Danny Alves? Puyol is a beast but he's no where near the type of player Alves is as a wing, Puyol belongs in the middle...

I'm glad there were some goals in Milan today. I thought the game was going to be really tight and neither side was going to take chances.

Inter looked a lot more ready than i'd hope they be and everyone showed up to play. Even eto'o held the ball up well and frustrated with his movement off the ball. I was suprised to see balotelli come on I thought Jose would park the bus after cambiasso scored but I liked that he didn't. Chelsea were a little unlucky, that Samuel tackle was a penalty nomatter how you look at it.

Goal of the knockout stages happened in the other game though (cska vs sevilla) YouTube it in on my phone and too lazy to post it

If barca has a weakness it's their depth in defense. Alves puyol piqué abidal is their back line and when one is out they look shaky. Marquez had a horrible game and milito/maxwell never look completely comfortable although they bothplayed decent. If I was pep I would have put toure in CB position although he got bossed around in holding mid so who knows.

Premier League owe 56% of European football debt

A report to be released by UEFA on the financial wellbeing of European football will reveal that Premier League clubs owe 56% of the continent's total footballing debt, raising further questions about why English football's finances have been allowed to spiral out of control.

• Storrie still fighting to rescue Portsmouth

The biggest worry for Premier League clubs is that both West Ham and financially stricken Portsmouth are not even included in the official report, called the "European Footballing Landscape", as their monetary problems prohibited them from being given UEFA licenses, meaning that the figures for English clubs would be even higher.

The Premier League debt comes despite England's clubs earning significantly more from television and other commercial income - €122 million on average - than any of Europe's other major league

Details of the report, released in the Guardian on Wednesday, reveal that the combined debts of the 18 Premier League clubs, excluding West Ham and Pompey, sit at £3.5 billion, with two of England's biggest clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool, owing around £1 billion between them.

The figure is more than all other European leagues combined and around four times the figure for La Liga, the second most indebted division. As the report analyses the 2007-08 annual accounts of all 732 clubs licensed by UEFA, the Premier League's actual debt is undoubtedly higher, as the interest payments for clubs like United and Liverpool have increased.

The debts of both United and Liverpool are cited by UEFA as highly significant to the Premier League's overall debt, with the report criticising the leveraged takeover model employed by George Gillet and Tom Hicks at Liverpool, and Malcolm Glazer at Manchester United.

"Just over half of [the Premier League's] commercial debt has been placed into the [relevant] clubs [or at a holding company level] recently as a result of leveraged buyouts," the report says, "so far acting principally as a burden rather than to support investment or spending".

The revelations of the report are likely to increase the calls for UEFA to bring in its proposed Financial Fair Play Rules, which make it a requirement for clubs to break even from 2012-13, with UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino pointing to the crisis at Portsmouth as the latest evidence that financial reforms are desperately needed in European football.

"The Portsmouth example shows something must be done to help the clubs be more sustainable," he told the Guardian. "The English Premier League clubs have higher revenues, but it is worrying to see such huge debt. If it is borrowed to fuel spending on players, the problem comes when you cannot borrow any more money and can no longer pay the debts."

Inter/Chelsea return leg will be interesting seeing as Inter absorbed alot of pressure, Chelsea are hurt right now and not as sharp as usual, so they would suprised me if they got passed Inter.

fuck em all to hell, I hope they die, that way, other teams will take notice and will invest in their youth and stop spending money they don't have.

I got no remorse for a club that spends millions of dollars on overpriced, overpaid players.

Chelsea played pretty bad, they didnt put the ball on the wings enough, but damn the referee gotta be blind about that Samuel dive on Kalou, and there was a penalty on each corner kick for Chelsea, Samuel was hugging Drogba like he was his bitch
I hope Chelsea will qualify cause I hate Inter but I think Mourinho know them good and they may draw 0-0 in 2 weeks...

PSV are a solid team, but just cause Hamburg beat them doesn't mean they are automatically through.. Later stages is another ball game, some teams can't handle the pressure as well as others and Anderlecht are a very consistent team, especially at the back led by Juhasz.

Not to mention they are 7 points clear in thier home league, they are in form.
