He came really close to being stopped by Khan from that body shot, I think it was the second round. It didn't look like he was going to make it, he was in pain then suddenly jumped up at the count of 8 or 9 as I recall.

But that's the thing about body shots. They hurt really bad for 20-30 seconds then you can recover.
yeah, but that's not his chin lol That showed a lot about his toughness though because a lot of guys wouldn't have gotten up from that shot. That was brutal!

Khan vs Mayweather in September or December. Bank on it.

Floyd's last 6 fights are gonna be so easy. Guaranteed money why challenge yourself right?

Guerrero
Canelo
Maidana
Khan
Danny Garcia
?????
Not if Khan loses again or looks miserable at WW. He's never fought at Welter has he?

and Khan was on that juicy juice when he did it
trips @trips it really pisses me off when you carelessly say shit like this about a fighter. Khan was still living in the UK and in the UK all boxers are subjected to random blood tests, year round and they could show up at your door any day unannounced. Khan was randomly blood tested by the British Boxing Board before Maidana. Khan has taken random blood tests since the amateurs/Olympics and continues to do so.

Khan beat Maidana because Maidana struggles against boxers who use movement and have speed. Devon Alexander easily out boxed Maidana that was just a year ago, he's not suddenly an unstoppable beast because he beat a pretty untested Broner who has no footwork.

My bad, I meant knockdown not KO'd, fuck it whatever. I just want to see some drama in this fight cuz like its being mentioned this fight seems hella easy for Floyd.

Bradley doubts Maidana can beat Mayweather

Unbeaten American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. believes Argentina’s Marcos Maidana has virtually no chance of defeating pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their May 3 welterweight showdown.

Mayweather had ended weeks of speculation Tuesday when he finally announced that he will fight Maidana on May 3, picking the Argentine over Britain’s Amir Khan.

In an interview with Boxing Scene, Bradley said he likes Maidana but does not think his style will trouble Mayweather.

“No, no, no, no, no, no,” Bradley said when asked if Maidana can upset Mayweather. “I like Maidana. He’s a brawler-type fighter.”

“But listen – when you get in there with Floyd, you can’t be sloppy. And there are times when Maidana gets sloppy. Floyd’s gonna make you pay. He’s so smart. He reads you, and he’s like 10 steps ahead of you,” he added.

“There is no way. There’s no way Maidana’s gonna touch Floyd Mayweather,” Bradley stressed.

Bradley is not the only boxing personality who doubts Maidana.

Boxing trainer Kevin Cunningham, in a separate Boxing Scene interview, said Maidana only has “puncher’s chance” against Mayweather.

“That’s about it,” Cunningham said. “I ain’t seen no improvement (in Maidana), not really. He’s a good, tough, rugged fighter, and he’s the same good, tough, rugged fighter that I’ve always seen.”

Maidana will definitely be a huge underdog against Mayweather, but his trainer, Robert Garcia, and promoter Richard Schaefer both insist that he has a chance of pulling off an upset thanks to his tremendous punching power.

“Marcos Maidana has the game-changer in his punch, in his fists. With one punch, he can change the game of boxing,” Schaefer told ESPN when he confirmed the fight. “Mayweather is undefeated, but with that one punch, Marcos Maidana can certainly change it all for Floyd.”

Naw man, Floyd's next fights will be Lara, Thurman, and Garcia. Lara will get it next so Canelo won't get him as a PPV and he won't have to drop his 154 title. Thurman will fight Khan and Broner and destroy both of them. I do believe this will be Garcia's last fight at 140, get a couple of warm ups at 147, maybe, and be Floyd's last opponent. It's one thing to retire undefeated but he doesn't want to drop any titles til the last money maker. Him and Garcia would be some shit if both remain undefeated. Those are the only fights that will sell too

This is his first time fighting someone with movement while being trained by Garcia. New trainers make a huge difference.
He was trained by Rudy Perez for a couple fights who was one of the greatest trainers ever. He still has a ridiculously high number of bad habits, even after all this time with Garcia.

I understand that, but some trainers see things that other trainers don't. Or they have better ways of fixing things. You can train with the greatest trainer for 10 years, and learn something new your first week with a new one.

So even though he lost to boxers with good footwork in the past, doesn't mean the results will be the same or worse this time around. A new trainer makes a huge difference. Not a matter of winning or losing a fight, but it's as big of a change you can possibly make.

Of course, but didn't he train with Sarmiento? Then Perez, and Garcia. Can't ask for much better training than that in your career bro. If those 3 guys aren't able to correct your flaws in a 4-5 year span, something is wrong.

Like Tyson, Floyd has a lot of people beat before they even enter the ring. The whole lottery thing, his record, his money, millions of people saying he can't be beaten, etc.

With that said I will stick by what I originally said when he signed his six fight deal. After the Canelo fight I said I think he will retire undefeated but I'm gonna go with what I originally said, which is, Floyd will lose the third fight of the deal.

I called the world series before it happened and the Red Sox won. I called the Seahawks in preseason and said they would win the SB by six points (and people here said I would jinx them) and I'm gonna call it now.

Floyd will lose this fight.

I reserve the right to change my prediction as I see fit. Yes it is the small print you should be aware of.
