it does seem like he's getting a big head. And he's beat nothing but brothers of stars (larry mosley, matt hatton, jose cotto) and former good/decent fighters (baldimor, cintron & now shane mosley).

I'd really like to see him take on better opposition at 154 before talking about Floyd, like James Kirkland, Lara, Paul Williams, Delvin Rodriguez, Carlos Molina, hell even Vanes Martirosyan. So many good fighters there and almost all of them are signed to Golden Boy so it's not like they are difficult to make.

mayweather is officially a racist. y he tweetin bad about jeremy lin. he should just shut his mouth. sorry floyd fans but he's a fuckin cock sucker. great fighter but his attitude is terrible. if god was real he wouldnt be successful. people like him deserve to have aids
Lol. Mayweather is an asshole, but he's just selling ppv to the people that already hate him. That gaming winning three by Lin lastnight was a nice responses to Floyd.

Canelo thinks he's ready for the big boys now after beating up bums and has beens. I hope old man Mosley gives him a reality check.
he would be stupid to keep waiting around to develop his game, while the two divas manny and floyd call it quits which will be sooner than later who else will there be to fight and most importantly make a name off of. Canelo is big in mexico but fighting floyd will only make his name bigger internationally and cash him out in the process. Any fighter at this moment would be stupid not to want to get a chance against floyd or manny. IMO canelo is going into that fight with nothing to lose, if he wins or even makes it a fight at this early stage of his career it will still end up benefiting him in the long run.

I have no problem with him wanting to fight the best but his attitude kinda stinks with the whole "I don't want to be on floyd's undercard, I want to headline myself" type of stuff, especially since it's against a washed up mosley who hasn't won a fight in a few years.

Also, if he really wants floyd he should make his case by fighting/beating better opposition.

I'd have that attitude if I knew I was drawing the bigger Mexican % and I was only getting paid a fraction of what Mayweather was off of PPV.

I'm sure Canelo is going to make a nice payday fighting mosley, I'm guessing his biggest purse to date. Plus, imo he should be thankful for the exposure. Sure he already has the Mexican's, but Mexican's aren't the majority of the PPV buys in the first place when it comes to a floyd fight.

Thing is, he isn't wildly entertaining to watch...not sure if he'll ever get that level of love in the US...especially since he doesn't speak a lick of American.

not sure what you mean by wildly entertaining but canelo is different then most traditional Mexican boxers. Most Mexican fighters defense is offense, this makes them highly entertaining but not very smart when it comes to technique and carrying out a game plan. Canelo has lots of technique and can stay disciplined and carry out a game plan, that is very impressive for a 21 year old.

Sure.....in America.

But how many people in Mexico you think are buying PPV to watch Floyd....??

I realize this is america and yes he is being given some nice opportunity, but when you rep a whole country and are driving the sales for a whole country then he can think like that. remember he is a big deal in Mexico so of course his attitude isn't going to change here in america...........although I am not quite sure I agree with what you guys are claiming about him to begin with.

He seems real humble to me. But maybe it's mostly because I can understand the spanish he is talking and you guys don't.

Mosley is going to get knocked out by Canelo. Mosley can't punch anymore, he couldn't even follow up after he hurt Mayweather. Mosley was breathing heavy like he was smoking.

He's fundamentally sound, and I'm not saying he's not impressive for his age, but I just don't think style-wise he is someone who I'd plunk down money to see as a headliner. That's just from the cab drivers I've seen him beat, so far. Things could change, I guess.

Canelo's been working on his English, he's not too bad. Once he gets it down, he can be a crossover star

I'd hate to fight the cab drivers in your hood.
