Yup. I always wanted to go down to Mexico, but now is not a good time. I used to work with this chick that took a trip down to SD, and decided to cross the border for a night of fun in TJ. She came back weeks later. Apparently some dudes had approached her and her friends, and all she remembers is waking up in the hospital with a fucked up face.

For those who want something to really describe what it is like when you are crossing the border at SanYsidro/TJ: first, you smell piss and shit, especially the piss.

And the warning to you virgin travelers: Of all people to beware of the most while you are there, beware of the people who look like they are from the USA. They will be first in line to try and pick pocket you.

i dont know what border you crossed, but tijuana is pretty clean until you get near reveloucion...and even then i dunno if ive ever 'smelled shit and piss' ....

I remember purchasing a giant velvet sombrero in TJ along with some ninja stars. I was about 6 or 7 years old, so I didn't get too much attention from the hookers.

haha ninja stars, i remember i bought this little bird that would balance on your finger, and some other shit i cant remember. It was Reynosa though, not TJ.

It was more the urine smell than anything else; there used to be the "saying" that the city just poured the sewer right in the ocean; I surely hope that is not true. It has been at least a decade since I have visited, so a lot may have changed.
