I wonder how its going to stimulate our economy when a majority of the goods that will be bought are gonna be foreign made anyway..
it has nothing to do with the goods.

temporary tax breaks do not work. its all political bs to make his ratings go back up before he leaves office.

its for people like Mi$ta-Murda187 who dont know anything about how economics work and/or sheep.

and where are they buying these foreign goods???? they flying to china or driving to mexico for them????

no buying them from a US store.
You see no problem in removing a workforce from the equation of our economy?

lets say i made shovels, and i have to compete with 20 companies from china. They dont have to abide by the standards that i have to and are able to use a cheap work force and additives that i can't, and as a result, can sell their product by half of what i have to charge to cover costs.. so eventually, i go into bankruptcy, and my employees are laid off..

Taxes are essential and provide PUBLIC social needs and services (roads, school's, liquor stores up here, lol).
The joke is your average schmo feeling the tax burden while 60% of American corporations don't pay income taxes, & the CEO's with their outrageous salaries and crazy loopholes get out of paying their share, not to mention the breaks full time investor's get, ha to a 'capital gain' as opposed to 'ordinary income' gimmie a break'.

The bigger joke is the 'Trickle Down' effect they've been spouting for years. The only way you feel a 'trickle down' is when you're getting fucked.

and oh yeah, a n $800 rebate, now that's a dumbass marketing scheme

Republican lawmakers favor a proposal that would offer rebates of up to $800 for individuals and $1,600 for families — but only if they paid that much in taxes last year.

For practical purposes, a family of four with an income of $24,000 would receive no government payments at all, and families with incomes below $40,000 would at most receive partial rebates. But a household with an income of $100,000 or more could get back $1,600.

Almost by definition, the approach would exclude millions of people who were unemployed or living largely on Social Security. It could also bypass families with incomes as high as $60,000, depending on the kinds of tax credits they use to reduce their taxable incomes.

changes made to deal:

Individuals who pay income taxes would get up to $600, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. Workers who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

The rebates, expected to go out in June, would cost about $100 billion, aides said. The package also includes close to $50 billion in business tax cuts.
