Does anyone know if the 33,000 for The Tempest was rounded up? We should probably know for sure before anyone goes jizzing on their cat.

FINAL number: 32,625
- 14 on the charts
- will be #1 on the indie charts
- 4th highest debut behind G-Unit, John Mayer and Alkaline Trio.
- outsold some big names. Sold well over half of what the new Jim Jones & Byrdgang album did...and Jim Jones was on 106 & Park last week hyping that up. Imagine if Tech had that exposure. Jim Jones last album was #1 on the indie charts when it debuted and Everready was #2

ps. fucking christ @ Lil Wayne
That's not bad news at all, glad tech finally hit #1 on indie charts, and #14 on charts aint bad, hopefully the sales will continue to rise, other wise he'll just fall off the charts as in previous releases. don't mean to be negative, but i just wanna see this shit be a success.

This article certainly has more weight behind it then the HitsDailyDouble numbers. It's possible though that the number is rounded up as 36,000 is a better number to write then 35,729 (random number) but it should be a solid number since Billboard gets their data from Soundscan or whatever.

So does this mean there will be a lot of sticky cats in homes accross america lol

This is pretty cool considering that there was not a lot of conventional media hype. It looks like it dosent always work either....look @ Jim Jones w/ 17,000 . The diff is and always will be the quality of music you come out with...this just helps make that a little more true..

And as far as touring goes...like Rawb said theres a new fan in every city...I think that it will be a lot clearer when the Strange only tour starts and we see Tech being able to get into bigger/better venus due to his tour w/ KMK

But as always time will tell

Rapper Tech N9ne scores his highest charting album and best sales week ever as "Killer" (Strange Music/Fontana) debuts at No. 12 with 36,000. The Kansas City native has been charting since 2001; his previous high came with the No. 49 debut and peak of 2007's "Misery Loves Kompany."

Everready charted higher than MLK didnt it?
