Carne asada fries
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carne asada fries from south San Diego, California.

Carne asada fries are a local specialty found primarily in San Diego, California, but can also be found on the menus of Mexican restaurants in other parts of the American Southwest including Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Tucson.[1] The typical order of the food entree can be up to and beyond 2000 Calories.[2]

[edit] California Burrito

The California burrito is a Mexican-American dish created in San Diego, and has been described as a staple of local cuisine.[3] It is served in many casual Mexican restaurants in Southern California.[4] It is typically a flour tortilla stuffed with carne asada, salsa fresca, french fries, cheese, and sour cream.[5][6][7] There is some debate whether sour cream or guacamole is in the "real" California burrito. The burrito itself, is similar to a typical "Carne Asada Fries" dish which consists of the same ingredients without being rolled into a burrito. This burrito is an americanized Mexican dish; having french fries combined with a burrito is not a common dish known to Mexico.

I do that shit all the time, you can make em a little bit healthier too and not such a big portion..

My Favs are: Chicken and Chile Verde Burritos, Black beans, Carne Asada Fries and Burritos, ALL Time favorite is the California Burrito - shittin on anything else.. Santanas by my old spot in SD had em for 4.40 and was in drunk walking distance (less than 1/8 of mile) from the house. Also open 24/7.. Missing that sometimes.. Im always at the Coddingtown Jackinthebox in Rosa sayin "I wanna go to Santanas"
