Cho just got lucky. He could have easily got caught after his first two murders. He was no serial killer, just some cry baby pussy Korean who hated life because he had no friends.

I been saying that for a minute. A two hour special with those two debating would be epic. As long as Manson refrained from lapsing into utter gibberish the whole time.

Vlad and Fish are probably my two favorite that were mentioned, but I'm also a big fan of Elizabeth Bathory. I'm surprised she wasn't mentioned, especially by the chica.

Tell me a bit about the Gravito dude or whatever Ungod. I'm curious.

Oh, I also like the dude that probably had like four or five kills, but the US police force were getting blamed for not solving more murders, so they basically gave him the most cushiony imprisonment of all time in return for him admitting to every murder they put before him. Later many were proven false when the confessions were inconsistent with the ACTUAL manners of death, ie claiming he choked them when they died of stabbing, etc. As I said, he was ACTUALLY guilty of only a couple, but the fact he hustled that hard and basically got REWARDED for pretending to be a GREATER serial killer, is pimp shit to me. Just can't remember his name off top.

Bathory is hard to get correct information on. I've read no one really knows what she did to people or what the exact kill count was. I think its 30 proven torture murders.

just snagged this off wiki real quick

Luis Garavito:
Luis Alfredo Garavito Cubillos, aka. La Bestia, "The Beast" or "Tribilin" (born 25 January 1957 in Génova, Quindío) is a Colombian rapist and serial killer. In 1999 he admitted to murder and rape of 140 young boys. The number of his victims - based on skeletons on maps Garavito drew in prison - could eventually exceed 300. He has been described by local media as "the world's worst serial killer" because of the high number of victims.
Once captured, Garavito was subject to the maximum penalty available in Colombia, which was 30 years. However, as he confessed the crimes and helped authorities locate bodies, Colombian law allowed him to apply for special benefits, including a reduction of his sentence to 22 years and possibly an even earlier release for further cooperation and good behavior. [1]
In subsequent years, Colombians have increasingly felt that, due to Garavito's approaching early release, his sentence is not sufficient punishment for his crimes. Colombian law originally had no way to extend the sentence, as cases of serial killers like Garavito had no legal precedent in the country and thus the legal system could not properly address this case.
In late 2006, however, a judicial review of the cases against Garavito in different local jurisdictions found that his sentence could be extended and his release delayed, due to the existence of crimes he did not admit and for which he was not previously condemned.

MURDERS

The victims were poor children, peasant children, or street children, between ages 6 and 16. He approached them on the street or country side and offered gifts or small amounts of money. After gaining their trust, he took the children for a walk and when they got tired he would take advantage of them. He then raped them and cut their throats, and usually dismembered their corpses. Most corpses showed signs of torture.
Luis Alfredo Garavito was captured on 22 April 1999. He confessed to murdering 140 children. However, he is still under investigation for the murder of 172 children in more than 59 counties in Colombia.
He was found guilty in 138 of the 172 cases; the others are ongoing. The sentences for these 138 cases add to 1,853 years and 9 days. Because of Colombian law restrictions, however, he cannot be imprisoned for more than 30 years. In addition, because he helped the authorities in finding the bodies, his sentence has been decreased to 22 years.

Reminds me of the dude that worked for a Drug Cartel in Latin America somewhere that was basically hired on as the Cartel Wizard or some shit. He would do lots of ritualistic torture and sacrificing and such, he was pretty epic too, but I'd only ever heard of him once.

One thing about Bathory that I had read was that some of her tools she used to torture were interrogation tools that her husband, a knight in the Crusades, had left behind for various reasons. One being a cat-tail whip with hooks on the end of all nine heads. It was deemed unusable for interrogation because the huge gauges it made would cause too much agony to the prisoners and render them unconscious or kill them before they could inform sufficiently. It turned out to be one of her favorites. Another common one was that she confided in witches and they taught her that the blood of virgins kept you youthful, thus her killing of so many maidens and supposedly bathing in their blood. Her husband finally discovered her habits upon returning from the Crusades and either imprisoned her, or had her executed for witchcraft. I forget which. But if what you said about it being all hearsay, then who knows if its true. Regardless, it makes for good story telling.

they say the whole bathing in/drinking of blood is a lie.

I'd def believe the first part. I rather doubt it myself. It would be ridiculously cumbersome. It would be so difficult to gather enough blood to bathe in without it coagulating and clotting. It would be solid before you'd have enough to dip into.

The second part sounds familiar, although I think the execution not happening had more to do with her husband being the one to say so rather than her rank. Considering queens have been executed.

maybe coke or meth but LSD seems like not a "lets go kill rich stars" type of vibe. but never know with the wack people who hung out with him. Interviews with Manson now are after years of prison and unfettered neurosis growing. In his twenties he was a slick con man.

Nannie Doss

On the outside Nannie Doss of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was a friendly and happy neighbor, wife, and parent. On the inside lurked a cold-blooded murderess who nearly wiped out her entire family singlehandedly. Her first victims her own children. Her first husband, George Frazer arrived home one day in 1920 and found the kids lying on the kitchen floor dead. Doss claimed it had been an accidental poisoning but evidently Frazer was not convinced. He left and never went back. Relatives and husbands continued to die of "stomach problems" and other such ailments until Doss' fifth husband, Samuel Doss sudenly passed away. The doctor in the case was not as gullible as the previous ones were evidently and didn't simply take Doss at her word. He ordered an autopsy be done, which revealed massive doses of arsenic in the man's system.

The bodies of doss' husbands, relatives, and children were exhumed and tested. It was found that Doss' two infant children, four of her husbands, two of her sisters, her mother, and a nephew had all been killed by arsenic poisoning. Armed with this information police soon convinced the poisoner to confess and she was sent to prison for life in 1964. She succumbed to Leukemia the following year.
