I use Sample discs mixed with the Motif. The Sampler in the Motif is clean. Not a conventional sampler. Im expanding the cards this month. 3 expansion cards, drums, XG, and the vocal card. Im diggen the board...

How do you transfer your samples into the Motif...do you have it directly connected to your comp. using a SCSI cable or do you have it connected to a zip drive? I havnt got a chance to really fuck with thesampler yet

You can use the AD inputs or load the samples into the Smart Card. SCSI is another option. I havent used it yet, heard it is really slow.

I'm starting to use software synths and samplers they all seem to have thier own character, but having all of the controls visibly at your disposal is a plus to me. It seems to froce you to edit your sounds more, and with some software synths it's almost like you have to create a sound from scratch to use.
Logic Audio works well with this kind of setup.
