^^ You don't agree that this article would not exist if this man's son hadn't been killed? You don't also agree that this man has zero foreign policy experience or credentials whatsoever? ....What do you believe then, friend?

The fact that he has lost a son in the conflict, regardless of the fact that he's a civilian should allow him a chance to voice his opinion. Someone with credentials is not necessarily any more well-thought out or legitimate in a discussion i.e. George Bush et al.

It is very likely You or I could have spent more time studying the Middle East and the Iraq conflict than Bush does or has. And Kissinger, the man who is now being heavily interviewed on what constitutes an effective position enhancing U.S. interests, is for all intents and purposes a mass murderer, yet he gets air time. Sean Hannity is not very intelligent, nor is Michael Moore, yet they have voices as well. Credentials mean shit to me. Sometimes you can learn more about life, politics, or any other topic from a bum on the street than the people who supposedly have "expertise" on it.

Do you have any credentials or foreign policy experience? No. Yet I believe, and I think you will agree on this, that your opinion on the issue possibly holds more validity and weight than some elected officials....regardless of whether I agree with you or not. A title does not a man make...some may even have experience that they learned nothing from.

Are you fuckin serious? Are you talking about that skin color thread? You know the one where EVERYONE was posting what the exact color of there skin was? What did you go hunt all my posts or something? Are you stalking me tadou?

Do you really think that I said I was tan because I am ashamed to be white? I said I was tan for the sole reason THAT I WORK OUTFUCKINGSIDE AND I HAVE A TAN. You fuckin moron.

I'm so proud of you that you can mark black on your federal papers AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA Congratulations.

^^ You'll have to excuse me. Alcohol, marajuana and crack haven't ROTTED my brain, so i tend to remember things crystal clear. I'm sorry we can't all have ADD like you.

@W.D.
"Do you have any credentials or foreign policy experience?" -- No...which is the reason I have no business being front page news.

What this man is saying goes beyond "i am saddened" or "this is injust"--he goes right into the causes for the war, the compassion (or lack thereof) of the administration, naming unofficial figures as facts (11k citizens "are dead"), and so on--things he seemingly has ZERO knowledge of.

You don't need to be a PhD or have a 20 year resume of foreign policy experience, but it would help if you knew how to TALK in the language of journalism and politics, and this man clearly has no clue.

"The language of journalism and politics"? And when O'Reilly or Hannity puts themselves forward as "fair and balanced" while spewing bias and interjection into 99.99 percent of what they say, they speak the language of journalism and politics? I'll tell you the language of politics: outright lying, and the language of journalism is whatever sells. So I guess this guy is wrong on one count, then again according to you he is most likely a liar, so he must pass both criteria.

You discount anyone you disagree with tadou. Never do you say "hey, they have a good point" or "hrmm, I never thought of it that way". Every article that does not support your claims is a "cleverly disguised front", a "well written smearfest", a "left leaning propagandist piece". There is no language of journalism and politics. If a man who was not even elected, who scores 24/100 on his Natl Guard entry exam, who is a possible convicted felon (According to the Bush admin...he has committed no felonies in the last 25 years...lol) can be the commander in chief of a country, than a grieved father can speak out against his actions.

An opinion is an opinion and a story is a story. Real opinions and real stories do not always come from those with a degree in journalism or poly sci. This notion that there is somehow a credentialing required before one can speak his opinion is ludicrous. In addition, you yourself believe only the articles that support your claims. How can you suppose to lay a marker on who is worthy and unworthy of speech when you're in the business of rapidly discounting everything you don't agree with?

Another quality guess there tadou, I haven't smoked weed or drank a drop of liquor since I was 15 years old. That would be 10+ years. What exactly is it you remember? Please explain? I too remember that thread. Everyone was saying things like yellow, peach, brown. Excuse me for answering a post correctly.

"What did you go hunt all my posts or something? Are you stalking me tadou?" -- This is what i am speaking of. Skin Color-Tan-Outside Job immediately circle in my mind. So, what, am i supposed to have a selective memory and remember car engine parts instead of what does stick? What i remember, i remember, and has nothing to do with vendettas or stalking...deal with it.

@W.D.
You really will drone on and on about nothing and anything at all for any and every length of time. You have no clue how i evaluate articles, friend, and pretending knowledge of a thought process is pure ignorance. Whether people agree with my personal views makes no difference. What matters is that they have some sort of credentials--experience, education, training, and so on. This is not a strange "Tadou philosophy", friend, it is the ACADEMIC PHILOSOPHY. So you can refrain from spinning that as well.

As for this article, everything this man is speaking on that makes this particular article relevant, this man is completely irrelevant about, his presentation consisting of blindly casting out fuzzy numbers as gosepel and--rather than showing his emotional response, that all people could agree with--taking sides and slinging mud. How would this greasy man know anything about the emotions of the cabinet? He has no clue. Planning to speak on the exact day of the Iraqi transfer was proof enough that Nick Berg's (RIP) whole family is driven by politics and would do anything to have a voice.

According to the coalition, 10,500something Iraqi civilians are dead. No time to research the exact number. And do you feel the Bush admin has showed Americans the true, gritty, ugly face of the war? Have we been shown what happens after a bomb drops? No. We only get the baghdad night-light view of a big bang and a pretty flash.

To say that the Admin. has showed the real face of the war is ludicrous. To say the man is baseless because he said 11k instead of 10,345 or whatever the fuck the released number is, is fucking ludicrous.

And you do not speak for the academia of our society. Nowhere is it written that only someone with foreign policy experience can speak on the war. How many people is that tadou? 1,000 at best in a nation of 300 million? You do not cross-examine, research, and take in the preponderance of evidence in articles...that is complete and utter bullshit. You automatically invalidate anything you disagree with on the spot.

One does not need education or credentials to be knowledgeable on a subject- presupposing that is loopy as fuck. It reminds me of the time you said that people shouldn't bitch about who is our elected President or vote for him beefore they could name their local representatives, following it up with the fact that you couldn't. You do live in tadou land.

Nick Berg's family is driven by politics? BAhahhah Yes tadou, anyone who disagrees with Bush is a pawn of the Democrats. Bullshit...they disagree with the war and the way Bush and co has handled it. It's so hysterical to see your mind at work tadou...anyone who is pro-Bush simply expresses an opinion...anyone who is anti-Bush is driven by divisive political schemes. Anything Bush does is simply the actions of the president. Anything anyone against Bush does is some sort of brainwashed propagandism at work.

1. The official Iraqi civilian casulaty rate stated by the coalition: 10,000+. LOL @ Fuzzy numbers as gospel. Every time you don't know/aren't sure of a fact you instantly call it "unproven speculation". You didn't know about the Civilian casualty rate; (not a surprise, they don't show it on Fox News) thus, you discredit it as speculation.

2. Where is the gritty footage of the impact of our campaigns on the Iraqi civilians? There is none whatsoever played on any major media stations. Fahrenheit 9/11 was probably the first source of that, aside from difficult-to-access European news. The Bush admin has tried to paint the most positive pic they could of the war and completely refused to show any sort of negative side. This is fucking fact.

It's funny...you call us conspiracy theorists but you seem to find one every single time someone disagrees with the President. You are fucking loopy tadou...your brain is Fubar.

Your brain is like a clogged drain...some things get through...but only after passing by extensive blockage, with the largest hairball being "Is it pro-Bush?". You are from another planet tadou. Please, never speak about the academic opinion again. The only opinion you can claim to have knowledge of is your own and the dope shooting, toothless, mind gone bum down your street who calls his shoe "Mr.Huckleberry" and agrees with you.

I don't mind tadous rantings, as obviously disillusioned as he is, he represents a large portion of conservative republicans and their blind faith in horrible leaders.

**falls asleep**....didn't we already go through this the last time? As much as i'd love to go into a S.W.I./EDJ/Guru-esque line-for-line, quote-quote-quote-quote-quote-quote arguement with you (I really would), its not going to happen. Indeed, I'd name your fallacies top to bottom, straw man, ad hominem, non sequitur, and begging the question all up in there somewhere. But, frankly, I'd rather shave my scrotum with a rusted out Schick razor. (I know, i know...Hannity this, FNC that, Bush, Powell, FCC, links, Administration, terrorism, TLC, CFR, conspiracies, NWO, skull and bones, blah blah blah.)
