Summer of 2009 I was staying at a Hotel talking to some seasonal workers, and was told they make between 100-200 a day, and it depended on how much was picked, not an hourly rate.
Also, when I worked a painting crew down in LA we would commute a crew 4 hours round trip with a top paying guy getting 12.00, and when extra help was needed via guys standing in front of paint stores, I found it interesting the "immigrants" would demand 20.00 an hour, and get it, making more than the "official" crew guys. This was back in 2001.
