Farm Workers say "Take Our Jobs"

Summer of 2009 I was staying at a Hotel talking to some seasonal workers, and was told they make between 100-200 a day, and it depended on how much was picked, not an hourly rate.

Also, when I worked a painting crew down in LA we would commute a crew 4 hours round trip with a top paying guy getting 12.00, and when extra help was needed via guys standing in front of paint stores, I found it interesting the "immigrants" would demand 20.00 an hour, and get it, making more than the "official" crew guys. This was back in 2001.

anyway, I didn't say every Mexican has a great job. I didn't even say anything about Mexicans. I'm saying that a lot of illegal immigrants have jobs that documented workers would do if they had the opportunity. Some were mentioned in this thread. Offering up the shittiest job of all (field worker) with few takers doesn't mean that all illegals are doing jobs that Americans won't do. Yes, there are a lot who do shit like that, but it's a small percentage.

alot of companies are hiring illegal immigrants and paying them between $15-$20 an hour, a good example is Comcast they hire illegals from Mexico as long as they have thier own truck and could speak english, i think those are the type of jobs that the illegals are taking away from U.S. citizens.
theres also a big time construction company in Sac called Teichert and they hire some illegals and they pay them over $30 an hour to repair the roads all over Sac.
