Casey just posted this on fleethefactory.com

We released Act II a few months ago. Months before that, we were already itching to write and record new material. We understand the fact that we cant release an LP every6 months- or even every year. BUT- we do want to remain busy, and keep a steady flow of creativity- so we would like to tell you about the project we are starting.

I delayed making this post, because I am working on a small website to be the center of the project, but the hosting company hasn't set up my account yet- and I'm getting anxious.

Getting to the point, we are starting work on 9 records that will be anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes each. They are all inspired and pertaining to the colors of the spectrum, with Black and White added as bookends. They will include many guest appearances, and will span many different genres of music.

These records will be available at shows, and perhaps online. We are all very excited to get started and have some really amazing, inspired, creative ideas that we can not wait to show you.

Our main focus will remain supporting Act II, and the Act music in general, but these records will have as much care and detail as any full length.

That's all there really is to say at the moment, but we will update you as time goes on.

Just so everyone knows-
[Black], Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, [White]

Word on the street is that Red is going to be a hardcore album...
So there was originally 6 Acts planned. Which means we may see 13 more albums from them. Hahahaha I'm so happy right now, even if they are stuck in Cali and may not make the show with Wax On Radio next week.

lol no one else thinks this is groundbreaking? Their label told them to fuck off when they said they want to have 3 albums a year.
Moar shit from Casey.

Here is some info on the project, because it has come to my attention that some people are a bit confused.

This project will involve 9 records. I'm not calling them eps or lps or singles or whatever, because in the end, the length of the songs and the amount of tracks per record will be inspired by the color, and the research that has gone into that particular record.

Black and White are obviously not colors. But for the sake of the project, they are included as "bookends".

Black feels like a perfect leaping point for this project. It is a void. It is chaos. To take on a project like this and not represent the absence of color would be foolish.

White is equally important- as with light- it is pure, and complete- thus, it feels to be the perfect end.

The lyrical execution of the records will not be easy, and will obviously take a good amount of research both external, and internal.

They will be primarily available at our shows, and perhaps, a few small record stores here and there. There is no plan to advertise. There is no plan to tour in support. These are, at heart, to help us progress as songwriters and individuals. They will also be quite cheap to purchase- as the point is not to make money, but to inspire.

With relation to the Acts- they are still on track. The fact is we would release an act a month if we could, but when an idea like that makes its way through the leagues of business, it often is murdered somewhere along the way. So we bring you these in the meantime.

It may seem over-ambitious, or ridiculous, or like many other things, and that's fine. This is simply what we do. Our purpose is music. It isn't to get wasted on tour. It isn't to sleep in every day until 2pm and play a show, then return to a bed. No one has to listen, but anyone can. I can't promise these records to make sense to everyone. What I can promise is that they will be honest all encompassing interpretations of these colors and frequencies from our collective point of view- and that these records will contain many enjoyable moments- as well as discomforting moments.

That being said... I love you all.

I listen to it every time I'm bored lol, must be around 50 listens now. Probably my favorite album of all time.
Shitty news is that they had van trouble the duration of their tour with Scary Kids and it finally died last week in Arizona and they don't have the money to fix it so they're not going to be able to make the show with Wax On Radio tomorrow, which was going to be the highlight of my year.

Some more stuff I just found out is that the Color albums are going to be vinyl, and they're either going to sell it on Itunes or give a password with the vinyl so you can download it from a website.
And they're going to play The Lake & The River on the Circa tour, which is going to be fucking insane. But they're going to stop doing the Pimp & The Priest/She's So Heavy (Beatles) outro, which was my favorite part of the show.

I think I'm allowed to talk about this now lol.

Luke (keys), Sam (drums), and Josh (bass) have all left the band. Erick's sticking with Casey and for the time being, i.e. the tour with Circa Survive, there's going to be some replacements. Julio (bass) and Cliff (drums) from As Tall As Lions and Andy (guitar/keys) from The Junior Varsity are going to be in the band for the duration of the tour. After that, nobody knows. But, The JV just broke up, so hopefully Andy has a good time and wants to stick around for awhile.

Oh and Casey covered Beautiful Girls lol http://www.mediafire.com/?2jxbljyyyko
so good
